The most popular by far is telephone coaching because it is regular
contact and is preferred over e mail coaching because often it is easier to understand a
situation when we can hear the tonality of the voice. Face to face is also popular but
that only works if we are in the same area
Let me tell you a bit bout each type
Email coaching is
just as it says. We communicate through e mails as often as needed. We would begin with a
general overall view of what is going on in your life and then move onto specific issues.
I will set you tasks to think about and we will communicate via e mails. Email coaching
works best for people who do not like talking on the phone.
Telephone coaching.We
have 3 x 30 minute coaching calls on the phone per month, on the same day i.e. maybe the
first three Tuesdays of each month at a specific time. I call you (or better still if you
have skype installed on your computer, which is free to install, then we can use that). We
also have in-between emails and calls as needed. Basically I am there to support you as
you move forward to where you want to be in life. My phone is very rarely off and I am
contactable in emergencies 24 hours a day. During the regular calls we work on strategies
to get you to where you want to be in life. Sometimes we will work on immediate issues
that might have arisen since our last call and other times on medium and long term 'Life'
issues and strategies. In between the calls I will give you things to work on, think about
and put into action.
Face to face coaching
works exactly the same as phone coaching but instead of 3x30 minute sessions per month we
meet up twice a month for 1 hour at at a time
24 hour coaching is
a very new concept. what happens is that we spend a full 24 hours with each other. It is a
one off session and only done once or twice a year. We eat, rest and talk together in a
comfortable room. There are many little havens dotted about the country and indeed the
world like yoga retreats or spas. Something like a small studio apartment or hotel room is
also fine. It sometimes takes a few hours to relax but once you are over the initial idea
of being with a stranger for 24 hours it usually proves to be very worthwhile. I find this
coaching works best for people who need a bit of time to talk about how they want to move
forward with their life. We spend the time alone and there will be silences, talking and
creative thinking and exercises. Some people have said it's a bit like being at their own
individual retreat. Many people go on from this one off session to have one of the other
types of coaching I offer above
As your coach I would be here to give you unconditional support you as you
move your life forward from where it is to where you want it to be. You may have specific
issues or maybe you just feel there is something more you want out of life. No matter
which one it is, I will be there to help you on your way to achieving it
In e mail, face to face and telephone coaching I ask you to commit to 3
months at the beginning and then coaching goes onto a month to month basis. The 3 month
commitment is not for me, it's for you, so that you have time to settle into what you are
learning about yourself and start putting it into practice. I am not here to help you only
to get short term solutions that may not last. Many clients remain with me for many months
and even years as their journey through life changes and they reach goals and set new
ones.
